Advent of Bloggers

Last year, James G ran an Advent of Bloggers series, which was the right combination of kind and illuminating. I added at least five new blogs to my RSS. And I immediately wanted to do something similar, but I was nowhere near prepared. So, with a year to marinade and a second bout of Covid to sit down and pull it together, it was almost prepped in October.

Then Twitter melted down and I had to review what classified as dormant. And then Phil Gyford created the excellent Ooh.Directory and this became a bit redundant. But I’m plowing ahead regardless. It’ll help me fill my blogroll out, if nothing else.

If I’m honest, I could have linked to 24 varieties of weeknotes (I do love them), but have tried to pick from across my interests. Note that I don’t have good taste. I also don’t have much context for what a big” blog is. Apologies in advance to readers who realise I’ve done the equivalent of recommending McDonalds as somewhere to go get a burger every day. I’m basic.

I’m hopeful there’s at least one new and interesting blog for you—yes you!—this Christmas season. And if you don’t celebrate, that’s OK. Enjoy the blogs regardless.

Advent of Blogging

Previous post
Weeknotes 110: I’m carrots about carrots, me. A week in the words of a three year old who is really leaning in to that American accent. (While sitting on my chest) I’m squeezing your heart flat.

Advent of Bloggers: Day 1 For the first day of Advent of Bloggers, it has to be weeknotes related, doesn’t it? There was a spike in weeknoting in 2019 which I attribute
